Make a list of the things you are looking for in a partner, things that are truly importatnt. The following is a list from Conscious Creationg by Dee Wallace which I think covers it all.

1. Someone who respects and honors me
2. Open, honest and fun
3. Takes responsibility for his/her part of the relationship – financially, morally, sexually and energetically
4. Willing to grow as a person
5. Perfect health
6. Shares the same interests
7. Is stimulating
8. Lives in love
